ICARE Shared Principles

Our five Shared Principles constitute an organizational promise to our partners and to ourselves — a corporate conscience reflecting the beliefs of the organization.

The five elements that make up our ICARE philosophy include: Integrity, Customer First, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence.

We strive to make these values the foundation of every interaction between employees, with our customers, with suppliers, and with the communities where we work.

  • Integrity: We do what is right. This is our ability to behave honestly, communicate openly, level with people and honour commitments.
  • Customer First: We succeed when our customers succeed. This is our ability to consistently anticipate, meet and exceed the needs of internal and external customers.
  • Accountability: We take personal responsibility and expect the same in return. This is our ability to make a commitment to delivering results, and to take personal responsibility for our actions.
  • Respect: We treat people with dignity and consideration. This is our ability to make decisions and actions that reflect the needs of others.
  • Excellence: We insist upon quality. This is our ability to produce consistent, high-quality work which is accurate and complete.

EthicsPoint Program and Open Door Process

McKesson Canada promotes open communication at all levels of the Company with our open door process. Our employees have the opportunity to raise concerns and have them directly addressed by their managers.

We also provide a third party EthicsPoint Program which provides employees with a confidential and anonymous way to voice their concerns or report any perceived misconduct.

Employee Opinion Survey

At McKesson Canada, we hold an Employee Opinion Survey every year. Our survey provides a valuable opportunity for employees to share their feedback and helps us to better understand what is important in creating and sustaining a great work environment.
