McKesson Foundation
The McKesson Foundation has been committed to helping people in the communities where our employees live and work for
over 25 years. The McKesson Foundation has developed its programs to encourage employee volunteerism and to
provide access to quality health care and education to children and youth in their communities.
These Programs are the Regional Grants Program, the Scholarship Programs, and the Educational Matching Gifts Program.
The McKesson Foundation is a corporate initiative based in San Francisco.
The Regional Grants Program
Keeping with our philosophy of Empowering Healthcare at McKesson Canada we also believe that it
is our responsibility to help the most vulnerable and at-risk members of the communities in which
we operate. Each year, the McKesson Foundation's Regional Grants Program makes it possible for
many Canadian non-profit charities to improve the status of children and youth in the areas of
health and education.
McKesson Canada encourages the submission of grant applications for one-time specific projects or programs
on an annual basis, usually in the fall. The Canadian Regional Grants Program typically awards close to a
total of US$250,000 to charities each year, with grants that range in size from $2,500 to $25,000.
For 2011, our call for submissions occurred September 19 to October 31. The chosen organizations to receive
a grant will be announced in the spring of 2012.
The 2012-2013 program will be launched in the fall of 2012. Come back and visit us again!
