Influenza A(H1N1) Pandemic
Contingency Plan

McKesson Canada is monitoring the situation on an ongoing basis, in tandem with provincial and federal health authorities and the World Health Organization (WHO). A contingency plan has been implemented in response to the phase 6 alert issued by the WHO and the crisis team was put together. Accordingly, McKesson Canada has taken the necessary measures to secure the healthcare supply chain. This plan covers the critical aspects of our operations, including the vendors and couriers, in addition to addressing the various internal and external stakeholder needs.

In addition to the hundreds of thousands of flu-related medicines and other supplies already shipped through our distribution centers, McKesson has always had a well-documented, enterprise-wide business continuity plan to ensure the company is prepared to meet its customers’ needs in the event of an emergency.
