At the fifth annual Canadian Health Informatics Awards (CHIA) Gala, held in Toronto on November 19, 2009, McKesson Canada was presented with the Company of the Year Award.

McKesson Canada won the award for its excellence in health informatics. More specifically, for exceeding expectations, meeting tough challenges head-on, delivering the highest quality service, its commitment to achieving successful results, delivering what was proposed, ensuring promises were kept and demonstrating innovation.

The CHIA Gala is one of Canada's leading eHealth industry events. ITAC Health established the Company of the Year Award to recognize a distinguished healthcare company that has demonstrated excellence in the Canadian health informatics industry within the past twelve months.

Finalists in the Company of the Year Award included TELUS Health Solutions and GE Healthcare Canada.
