McKesson Canada and its atoma® brand are proud to support five Canadian athletes as Official Supplier to the TORONTO 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games

McKesson Canada, its family of retail pharmacy banners - Guardian, IDA, The Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy and PROXIM – and, its exclusive atoma brand, is proud to sponsor five promising Canadian athletes on their journey to the TORONTO 2015 Pan Am Games, from July 10 to 26, and Parapan Am Games, from August 7 to 15. Artistic gymnast Ellie Black from Nova Scotia, diver Jennifer Abel from Quebec, sprint canoeist Mark Oldershaw and wheelchair rugby player David Willsie, both from Ontario, and swimmer Ryan Cochrane from British Columbia, will represent the atoma, McKesson, and its retail banners as ambassadors across the country. Together, McKesson’s atoma athletes will inspire more Canadians to embrace an active lifestyle for Better Health.

The five talented athletes that make up team atoma have walked their own unique paths, each one sown with challenges and hurdles that had to be overcome. "Our athletes are sources of inspiration for all Canadians. They are true examples of perseverance and we want their stories to inspire families to also get active and enjoy the outdoors during the warm season," explains Rick Brennan, Senior Vice President, Retail Banner Management at McKesson Canada. "On April 13th, Guardian, I.D.A, and the Medicine Shoppe Canada, are launching the Hello Outdoors! Contest to encourage Canadians to embrace staying healthy and active. The online contest will give participants the chance to win $10,000 total worth of outdoor equipment and a number of secondary prizes,” describes Brennan.

In addition to this partnership, atoma will support all the athletes taking part in the TORONTO 2015 Pan Am and Parapan Am Games as Official Pharmacy.
