McKesson Canada Donates $10,000 to Albertans Impacted by Wildfires - Press Release - McKesson Canada Extranet
Montreal, Quebec, June 17, 2019 – Today, McKesson Canada announced a donation of $10,000 in support of the Canadian Red Cross’s efforts to provide immediate relief to those impacted by the Alberta wildfires. McKesson Canada will also supply $3,500 in emergency relief products, including bottled water, first aid supplies, toiletries, respirator masks, and supplementary nutrition products to evacuated communities.
“As we watched the impact of the wildfires on local Albertans, our thoughts and prayers are with Canadians forced to leave their homes,” said Paula Keays, President of McKesson Canada. I know that many of our independent pharmacists from I.D.A, Guardian, Remedy’s RX and The Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy have gone above and beyond to provide continuity of care to those who need it most. I’m proud of the work they continue to do to provide healthcare services for communities in times of emergency.”
Canadians can make a donation to the Canadian Red Cross to support additional relief efforts in Alberta.
McKesson Canada employees impacted by the wildfires can apply to McKesson’s employee relief fund, “Taking care of our Own,” to receive financial support.
