Corporate Giving
McKesson Canada is committed to promoting health access and equity throughout Canada. We do this through supporting organizations like the Canadian Cancer Society, the Canadian Red Cross, and Food Banks Canada that align with our organizational commitment to: reducing the burden of cancer; diversifying the healthcare talent pipeline, with a focus on pharmacy or oncology students; and supporting emergency preparedness and disaster relief efforts.
Reducing the Burden of Cancer
Nearly 4,600 employees in North America came together to help raise awareness for cancer prevention and treatment by participating in the 2025 Fit2BeCancerFree National Challenge. Thanks to your involvement, McKesson donated $50,000 to the American Cancer Society (ACS) and $25,000 to the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS).
Reducing the Burden of Cancer

Preparing Tomorrow’s Healthcare Workforce
We are proud to support future healthcare leaders and pharmacy professionals. At the University of Alberta, we support the Certificate to Canadian Pharmacy Practice (CCPP) bridging program, helping internationally educated graduates launch their careers in Canada. At Université de Montréal's Faculty of Pharmacy, we sponsor three initiatives: a leadership and EDI award for a Pharm.D. student, a financial aid scholarship for a student in the Pharmacy Qualification Program (QeP), and funding to enhance QeP’s teaching activities.

McKesson Cares, is McKesson’s employee community service program, which supports both community impact events and employee-led volunteering and fundraisers. We strongly encourage our employees to get involved in their local communities and embrace causes and programs that matter to them – and we’re proud to support those efforts through McKesson Cares.

Climate Action
McKesson is committed to environmental stewardship and minimizing our impact on the environment. We believe that climate change has a direct and significant impact on human health, so we are committed to the following greenhouse gas emission reduction efforts:

reducing absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 50.4% by FY2032 from a FY2020 base year; and
-
committing that 70% of its suppliers (by spend covering purchased goods and services) will have science-based targets by FY2027.
Operational Sustainability
We are taking actions to reduce our footprint, across our business from our head offices, to transportation and our distribution centres. These actions include:

choosing green electricity at our GTA Campus with Bullfrog Power;
-
offering commuter electric vehicle charging stations at our locations;
-
retrofitting our facilities with LED lighting; and
-
across our real estate portfolio, we are looking at energy efficiencies and renewable energy solutions.

Employees in our offices and distribution centres lead grassroots initiatives around:

innovations in packaging; and

volunteer efforts to keep our communities clean.
